This is a hybrid role working 4 days in the office (City of London location) and 1 day working from home.

Role Purpose

We are looking to hire a dynamic individual to assist the Structured Property Finance sales team with reviewing enquiries, deal administration, origination/execution, client management, and the credit approval process. The successful candidate will need to be relationship driven with strong analytical skills and at least 2 years of experience in UK property finance for an established lender. You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of technical skills such as communication and negotiation skills, credit underwriting, property due diligence, and cashflow modelling.

Responsibilities

  • To support SPF Sales team with new business opportunities in line with the bank's credit policies and risk appetite.
  • Maintain the sales work in progress and enquiries log.
  • Understand the bank’s credit policy, lending appetite, pricing frameworks.
  • Support the sales team in analysing opportunities, critically evaluating, preparing and submitting applications for new proposals to Credit Committee.
  • Support the sales team with pre credit searches and KYC procedures.
  • Proactively manage SPF transactions from Credit Approval through to completion supported by the Relationship Management team.
  • Post-drawdown/in-life - work with the Relationship Management team to effectively manage and develop the relationship from both a credit stewardship and customer support perspective.
  • Maintain delivery of a high quality service to customers as required.
  • Ensure that KYC procedures including the requirements for in-life reviews in accordance with the AML framework on all customer connections are adhered to.

Skills and Experience sought

  • 1-2 years’ experience with a bank or non-bank lender operating in the UK property markets providing investment financing solutions.
  • Whilst not essential it would be helpful if the candidate also has experience in complex short-term lending/bridging secured on UK commercial property.
