This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.
Role Purpose
Deputise for HoLS&SP on other non-Board committees where required e.g. Business Management Committees.
Responsibilities
- Driving best practice ways of working with the Business Analysts, including clear and impactful MI.
- Work with Business Analysts across Lending teams to develop and monitor business performance/KPIs and support the Lending Management Team (LMT) to achieve objectives.
- Deliver monthly ManCo/Board reporting for CCO, including Lending Report, Accelerated Growth Plans and key consolidated performance/risk MI.
- Support margin management, pricing tools & governance – coordinating and analysing activity across the business units and working with key stakeholders in Finance, Risk etc.
- Driving the use of data to support strategic planning.
- Monitor market developments and provide insight into target lending markets & competitor activity (existing and target), providing reports and analysis to support conclusions.
- Support development and delivery of our lending growth strategies and business plans as required.
- Support HoLS&BP in cross-bank projects and initiatives e.g. Products & Propositions, Change, IT, Operations, CRM, HR.
- Develop skills to be able to work with lending teams to develop and launch new products and propositions, ultimately acting as Project Lead/Manager if necessary.
Skills and Experience sought
- Previous experience of banking, preferably commercial lending.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Business management experience linked to supporting productivity improvement and/or business planning.
- Commercial and financial acumen from performing similar roles in other lending institutions.
- Entrepreneurial approach to business opportunities & strategic planning.
- Project management experience would be an advantage.
- Written reports & presentations.
- Management information analysis.
- Excel, PowerPoint, Word; PowerBI would be an advantage.
