This is a hybrid role working 4 days in the office (City of London location) and 1 day working from home.
Role Purpose
Delivery of HR Business Partnering across the Bank and throughout the employee lifecycle acting as the key link between HR and senior leadership to ensure that people‑related initiatives directly support business goals, including recruitment, employee relations, policy, organisation design, change, performance management, engagement, Wellbeing, DE&I and talent management.
Responsibilities
- Trusted Business Partner predominantly to the Banks Infrastructure teams; COO, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Credit, Deposits, Technology, Internal Audit.
- Manage Employee Relations issues within the business, which includes coaching, guiding and supporting line managers.
- Ensure that Policies, procedures and operational processes are up to date and HR function is aligned to GDPR requirements, banking regulatory requirements (SMFs and MRTs) and Employment legislation.
- Deliver internal employee initiatives such as the performance management process, ESG initiatives, wellbeing, employee survey metrics, internal communication initiatives, Diversity and Inclusion.
- Lead the interviewing assessments to secure high‑quality talent aligned to the Bank’s culture and values.
- Act as a guardian of the Bank’s culture by assessing not only technical capability but also cultural alignment, ensuring candidates represent the right fit for the organisation’s long‑term goals.
Skills and Experience sought
- Previous experience as an HR Business Partner.
- Strong Employee Relations experience including restructuring and ideally TUPE.
- Good generalist HR knowledge across the employee lifecycle.
- Excellent Relationship management skills with the ability to balance support and challenge to Senior stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively work and communicate at all levels within the organisation.
- Competent understanding of UK employment legislation.
