Recruitment Business Partner at United Trust Bank
This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office (City of London) and 2 days working from home.
Role Purpose
To perform detailed customer due diligence checks on behalf of the first line of defence, assess customer risk profiles, and ensure compliance with Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) regulations and internal standards. The role requires analytical judgement, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage complex cases independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive AML Simplified Due Diligence, Standard Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence checks on individuals and corporate entities as appropriate, with emphasis on complex ownership structures and high‑risk profiles.
- Conduct PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening, escalating any high‑risk cases where required.
- Complete customer financial crime customer risk assessment.
- Manage periodic Know Your Customer (KYC) refresh cycles, trigger events and ongoing Customer Due Diligence (CDD) activities to preserve the integrity of the back book and support compliance objectives.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant onboarding.
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience within a Financial Crime / AML / KYC Function in financial services. A sound understanding of Property Development & Structured Property Solutions lending would be relevant.
- 3 years plus experience gained in Financial Crime/ Onboarding/ AML role in another UK Regulated Bank.
- Highly organised and methodical, with an ability to see work streams through to completion.
- Strong knowledge of Word and Excel.
