Shrewsbury Surgery Center is hiring a full‑time RN PACU! Welcome to Shrewsbury Surgery Center. We provide first‑class surgical services for local communities and recognise our employees as our number one asset. We focus on offering a high‑quality, ambulatory care alternative to a hospital for surgical procedures. Specialty areas include ENT, general surgery, GYN, orthopaedics, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, spine and urology. Our facility is accredited by The Joint Commission.

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilising sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anaesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN licence in the state
  • BLS and ACLS required, PALS if required by the centre
  • 2 years experience in PACU or critical care preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgement
  • Able to prioritise and organise workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Pay Range

$46.00/hr – $51.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
