We are looking for a PRN CRNA in the Dover area. This person will administer anesthetic care for the purpose of facilitating diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures. The credentialing process typically takes 2-3 months.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Category 1-3 patients only, requiring only Monitored Anesthesia Care (MAC) and NO general anesthesia.
- Administer Propofol sedation for low risk, standard outpatient gastrointestinal procedures.
- Perform and document a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.
- Develop and implement an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
- Select, obtain and administer the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance and emergence phase anesthesia.
- Recognize alterations in physiologic responses to the surgical procedure and/or the anesthetic, take appropriate action and notify the responsible physician as indicated.

- Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
Physical Requirements
- Requires full range of motion; manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time and the ability to lift and transport patients.
- Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
- Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
- Ability to work under extreme pressure.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited CRNA program.
- Must have a current HI licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
