The predicted salary is between 51210 - 69989 Β£ per year.

You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OFFICE-COMPTROLLER (N00FM) of NAVAL COMPUTER AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS AREA MASTER STATION (NCTAMS). This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.

SALARY RANGE

  • GG-07: $51,210-$69,989
  • GG-08: $56,713-$77,504

Duties

  • You will examine, verify, maintain, and reconcile accounts and accounting data, compile, and prepare reports for review and analysis.
  • You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintaining ledgers, budget formulation, compiling, consolidating, checking, and arranging funding data.
  • You will disseminate routine status reporting to senior leadership and analytical team.
  • You will consolidate and reconcile information in support of time-critical data calls and projects.
  • You will execute funding documents for budgeted direct and reimbursable programs in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, including audit readiness.
  • You will accept, certify/validate invoices in Wide Area Work Flow.
  • You will perform obligation validation review on current and prior year execution.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines.
  • Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.
  • Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
  • GG-07: Experience utilizing processes and building on that understanding to perform more complex duties; making billing adjustments as required; accepting, verifying, and certifying vendor invoices; processing and tracking billing transactions.
  • GG-08: Experience applying administrative rules, regulations, and procedures associated with budgetary transactions; preparing budgetary reports for review and analysis; maintaining financial ledgers; examining, verifying, maintaining, and reconciling accounts and accounting data.
