What role you will play in our team

If successful, you will be an integral part of our Global Trading organization, supporting commercial and trading activities across commodity markets.

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with strong front-end, back-end, and data engineering capabilities to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications that support trading, market analysis, risk management, and commercial decision-making.

In this role, you will work closely with traders, analysts, quantitative teams, and technology professionals to deliver innovative software solutions that enhance trading workflows, improve market transparency, and drive business value.

You will play a key role in building and supporting modern applications, databases, and data pipelines that enable the Global Trading organization to operate efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What you will do

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications supporting front-office trading, market analysis, and commercial activities.
  • Design and build scalable full-stack solutions using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Partner closely with traders, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into technology solutions.
  • Develop intuitive user interfaces, dashboards, and workflow tools that improve user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and application integrations supporting trading and analytics platforms.
  • Develop and support databases, data pipelines, and data integration processes that deliver timely and reliable business information.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, maintainability, security, and automation across application development.
  • Participate in application architecture, design reviews, and technical solution development.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while ensuring application reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to support deployment, infrastructure integration, and cloud-based application environments.
  • Contribute to software engineering best practices including version control, automated testing, continuous integration, and documentation.
  • Support ongoing modernization initiatives through the adoption of new technologies, frameworks, and development methodologies.
  • Communicate technical concepts and project updates effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Trading, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in software development with a strong understanding of modern application development practices.
  • Experience supporting commodity trading organizations, financial markets, or related commercial environments.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, Java Script, and modern frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Strong back-end development experience using Python, Node. js, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable web applications and APIs.
  • Strong understanding of database technologies including SQL, Postgre SQL, Mongo DB, or similar database platforms.
  • Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and data-driven applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical solutions to business challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting trading desks, market analytics teams, or commodity trading organizations.
  • Understanding of market data, trading systems, and financial instruments related to oil, natural gas, power, or other commodity markets.
  • Proven experience building, operating, and supporting robust, scalable, and high-performing databases and data pipelines.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database administration, optimization, and data management practices.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, indexing strategies, query optimization, and database performance tuning.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and experience developing data-intensive applications and services.
  • Experience with React and modern front-end development frameworks and libraries.
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, and modern cloud-based data platforms.
  • Experience with full-stack application architecture and distributed systems.
  • Solid understanding of web application security, performance optimization, and software engineering best practices.
  • Professional certifications in relevant technologies, cloud platforms, or software development methodologies.
