Role Summary: We’re looking for a Credit Systematic Trading Developer (AVP) for our Global Markets Department, Credit Group to join our team. Role to design and build the end‑to‑end credit trading platform for corporate bonds across Investment Grade (IG), High Yield (HY), and Emerging Markets (EM). The role will work closely with the traders to develop pricing, risk, and PnL services, FIX connectivity (MarketAxess / Tradeweb / Bloomberg), RFQ automation, model pipelines, and real‑time analytics. The ideal candidate is proficient in Python, Java, distributed systems, quantitative/statistical methods, CI/CD, observability, and real‑time UI development. Experience with credit market data (TRACE, CS01/DV01), Kafka/KDB+, and AWS/Kubernetes is a plus.

ESSENTIALS OF THE ROLE

  • 3+ years of building electronic trading systems, preferably credit

Business Area

EMEA Fixed Income Credit department comprises Credit, EM, and Structured Products traders based in London, supported by sales teams located across major European financial centres. The trading desk provides market‑making services to a broad client base, including real‑money accounts and leading hedge funds.

Position Description

The candidate will design and build core credit trading infrastructure, including pricing & quoting engines, real‑time market monitoring tools and analytics. They should have experience of FIX protocol to build market connectivity. Good understanding of credit market data and its usage on the trading desk to help productionise quantitative research and produce libraries, portfolio construction, back testing frameworks and model deployment. They should be comfortable with developing high throughput data components and using time series storage like KDB+.
