Position Overview

The company is looking for a Software Engineer I to join our Core Infrastructure organisation. The Core Infrastructure organisation’s mission is to power the company and its clients with secure, reliable infrastructure by advancing hybrid cloud, resiliency, and the company.dev Internal Developer Platform. In this role, you will work with a team of experienced engineers to maintain and scale Tier 0 infrastructure that’s used to host and route requests to hundreds of microservices. You will gain hands-on experience with C++, Python, Linux, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and network protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test code changes
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical issues
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Collaborate with engineers who use our infrastructure and help them solve their problems
  • Utilise AI tools to streamline workflows and boost productivity

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical degree, or equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, working three days per week minimum in our London office
  • Proficiency with a high-level programming language
  • Good technical, collaborative, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
