This role sits in a business-critical domain responsible for application distribution and orchestration across the company Europe estate, reaching tens of millions of customer devices. The team is shaping a modern, aligned capability across Comcast, the company and Comcast syndication partners globally, with a focus on scalable platforms, reliable delivery and strong engineering ownership.
What you’ll do:
- Build, release and support customer-facing products and services at scale.
- Develop across the stack, using Go for backend services and TypeScript/React for frontend applications.
- Design and implement maintainable components, APIs and integrations in Kubernetes platform and AWS environment.
- Improve code quality, testing, observability, CI/CD and release reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in live systems, including incident support and root cause analysis.
- Work with product, design and engineering peers to deliver effective solutions and contribute to technical direction.
Essential criteria:
- Strong commercial experience designing, building and operating well-architected, distributed applications on AWS.
- Strong backend development experience in Go.
- Strong frontend development experience in TypeScript with a modern framework.
- Experience building and troubleshooting automated testing and CI/CD pipelines, setting up observability, and supporting live systems in production.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical direction.
- Good judgement, clear communication and a product engineering mindset.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Experience with Kubernetes, container platforms and serverless architectures.
- Experience working in large-scale consumer or platform environments.
- Solid experience with AWS CDK, Pulumi or Terraform.
- Strong experience with MySQL or similar RDBMSs.
- Experience with architectural practices, such as ADRs and RFCs.

How you’ll work:
We’ve adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 2 days in the office per week.
