We're partnering with an established and growing software business that's making a significant investment in its engineering capability. As software development is brought in-house, we're looking for a talented Lead Full Stack Engineer to take ownership of the technical direction of a modern, cloud-based platform. This is an exciting opportunity to join at a pivotal stage, helping shape a scalable platform that brings together data, workflows and intelligent automation into a single operating environment. You'll have the opportunity to influence architecture, introduce engineering best practices and play a key role in the platform's long-term success.

The Role
As Lead Full Stack Engineer, you'll combine hands-on software engineering with technical leadership, helping shape both the platform and the engineering function. You'll be responsible for:
- Leading the technical development and architecture of a modern cloud-based platform
- Designing scalable, API-first solutions and system architecture
- Developing backend services using Node.js and Express
- Building modern frontend applications using React and Vite
- Designing and maintaining cloud-native solutions using AWS and DynamoDB
- Developing integrations with third-party systems and APIs
- Driving engineering best practices, code quality and development standards
- Mentoring and supporting other engineers where required
- Working closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Contributing to the long-term evolution of the platform, including data-driven features and intelligent automation
About You
We're looking for someone with experience in most of the following:
- Strong commercial experience building full stack applications
- Node.js & Express
- React
- Vite
- AWS
- DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases
- REST API development and systems integration
- Designing scalable, maintainable software architectures
- Modern software development practices including Git and Agile
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring or architectural guidance
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience building SaaS products, cloud-native applications or enterprise platforms would be advantageous but isn't essential.
