This role requires an existing right to work in the UK. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship at this time. The company is the Energy Intelligence Platform. We help energy companies manage complexity in real time – orchestrating decisions across homes, grids, EV charging and energy markets. We work with OVO, AGL, ENGIE, Volvo and Volkswagen, with teams across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
Our People and Finance teams are at the heart of how the company operates – and we think AI is going to fundamentally change what's possible for both functions. We're looking for an ambitious, technically curious Systems Developer to be at the centre of that change.
What will I be doing?
This is a hands‑on early‑career role for someone with a Computer Science degree, a year or two of commercial experience, and a genuine interest in AI and automation. You'll work closely with our People and Finance teams to identify where AI can make the biggest impact – then build the tools to make it happen. You won't be writing code in isolation. You'll own solutions from initial idea through to live, AI‑powered production systems, with mentorship and support from a technically strong team around you.
- Build AI workflows – design, develop, and deploy automation using modern LLMs (Anthropic, Gemini) that genuinely transform how our internal teams work
- Connect ecosystems – integrate AI capabilities into the tools our teams use every day (Workday, Greenhouse, Slack, Jira, Google Workspace) via APIs and modern integration tooling
- Collaborate with users – partner directly with stakeholders in People and Finance to understand real problems, build prototype solutions, and iterate on feedback
- Champion responsible AI – act as a go‑to resource for your colleagues, helping them use AI effectively, safely, and with a clear understanding of data privacy implications
About You
You'll have:
- A degree in Computer Science or a closely related technical field
- 1–2 years of commercial experience in software development, systems engineering, or a technical role
- Comfort connecting systems and manipulating data via REST APIs
- Hands‑on experimentation with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini) – a side project, a university project, or something you built because you wanted to
- A foundational understanding of data privacy, security, and responsible AI practices
You're someone who:
- Enjoys talking to non‑technical stakeholders and translating their needs into working solutions
- Is genuinely interested in how People and Finance operations work – and wants to make them better
- Takes ownership, asks good questions, and doesn't wait to be told what to build next
