Job Responsibilities
- Programming Skills: Highly proficient in SAS or R.
- Database Experience: Extensive familiarity with commercial claims and EHR databases such as Optum, MarketScan, IQVIA PharMetrics, or HealthVerity.
- Cohort Studies: Ability to conduct longitudinal cohort studies, including creating study cohorts, baseline and outcome variables from scratch.
- Epidemiological Methods: Solid understanding of epidemiologic study designs and methodologies.
- Statistical Expertise: Hands-on experience with basic statistical tests, regression models, and survival analysis.
- Educational Background: Advanced degree in Biostatistics or Epidemiology.
- Preferred: Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- In addition: Assess quality of the data, Protocol and SAP review and input, Conduct analyses (programming of TFLs).
- Nice to have: Standard Data & Data Standards, Observational Medical Outcomes (OMOP), Common Data Model (CDM), Open community of data standards, Standards, structure and content of observational data, Enables efficient analyses, Data Standardization – OHDSI, OHDSI – Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics, DARWIN: DARWIN EU Initiative Presentation – OHDSI.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in a scientific or statistical discipline; alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated programming experience.
- Extensive programming experience in SAS or other required software, preferably in a clinical trial environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
