At Amazon Ads, we're transforming how brands and customers connect — using AI, automation, and creativity at scale. From global retailers to emerging startups, advertisers trust Amazon to help them reach the right audiences with meaningful, high-quality experiences. Within this space, the Creative-X organization is at the front‑line of redefining ad quality, delivery, and observability through agentic AI systems, large language models, and intelligent automation across the creative lifecycle.
We're looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team focused on Third‑Party Ad Serving (3PAS) within Amazon DSP. This team owns the core infrastructure and experiences that enable advertisers to manage and deliver third‑party display and video creatives at scale through Amazon DSP — supporting a wide variety of ad servers, creative formats, and compliance workflows.
Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to‑end delivery of features across our creative validation services and 3PAS creative templates for display and video — from design through production rollout.
- Triage and resolve customer‑facing tickets on creative rejections, both at campaign launch and during continuous eligibility checks, partnering with product and account teams to unblock advertiser campaigns.
- Implement and evolve creative validation rules across video, streaming audio, and display inventory — covering duration, resolution, bitrate, codec, channel, and loudness specs for premium streaming surfaces.
- Build and maintain 3PAS creative templates for display and video, ensuring compatibility with industry standards (VAST, DAAST, MRAID, IAB) and major third‑party ad servers.
- Optimize service infrastructure for cost, throughput, and latency to keep up with Streaming TV creative volume growth, and improve observability so advertiser‑driven failures are clearly distinguished from service‑side regressions.
- Deploy features safely through CI/CD, participate in on‑call rotations for advertiser‑impacting events, and monitor launches and experiments to measure and communicate impact on campaigns and ad spend.
A day in the life
You’ll join a high‑performance, agile team in a collaborative environment where your contributions have immediate, visible impact. A typical day might include:
- Attending a daily standup to align with your team.
- Triaging incoming customer tickets to unblock advertiser campaigns.
- Preparing solution designs for new validation rules, template features, or infra improvements, and collaboratively reviewing them with your team.
- Researching challenging problems independently or teaming up.
- Partnering with product and customer teams to translate new inventory specs (new formats, marketplaces, surfaces) into validation logic and creative template support.
- Deploying your changes to production through CI/CD, keeping stakeholders up to date and monitoring impact on advertiser campaigns and ad spend.
- Seeing your work go live across Amazon's premium Ads inventory, powering ad experiences for customers across the globe.
About the team
We are the 3PAS team, owning third‑party ad serving within Amazon DSP. Our systems power the delivery, validation, and management of externally hosted display and video creatives at scale, with real‑time compliance checks, policy enforcement, and downstream moderation. We're also building agentic AI observability across the 3PAS creative lifecycle, enabling proactive detection and remediation of issues before they impact advertisers. From UI extensibility to backend integrations, we build the infrastructure that supports a growing ecosystem of third‑party ad servers and creative partners — empowering advertisers to innovate without compromising customer trust or operational excellence.
