About the Role: We’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to join our Platform team. This role will play a key part in scaling and evolving our infrastructure and deployment pipelines to support the next phase of the company’s growth. You’ll work closely with software engineers, data teams, and product stakeholders to ensure our systems are robust, secure, and high-performing.
What You’ll Do: In this role, you’ll take ownership of key responsibilities that help drive team and business success. Your day-to-day will include:
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable infrastructure across AWS environments
- Improving CI/CD pipelines to support faster, safer deployments
- Leading infrastructure automation and configuration management using tools like Terraform and Ansible
- Monitoring system performance and proactively identifying areas for improvement
- Supporting high-availability systems and ensuring disaster recovery plans are in place
- Collaborating with engineering teams to optimise deployment workflows and system architecture
- Managing secrets, access controls, and security best practices across environments
- Evaluating and integrating new tools and technologies to improve platform reliability
- Participating in incident response and postmortems to drive continuous improvement
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to DevOps best practices across the company
What You’ll Bring: We’re looking for someone with the skills, experience, and mindset to thrive in this role. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Strong experience with AWS infrastructure and services
- Solid understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
- A proactive approach to monitoring, alerting, and incident management
- Strong scripting skills (e.g. Bash, Python) and automation mindset
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth tech environments
- Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation (1-in-4 week rotation)
