We’re seeking a highly capable Senior DevOps Engineer to help modernise and evolve a large-scale enterprise DevOps toolchain within a complex, regulated environment. This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering, developer enablement, security, and governance. You’ll work closely with engineering teams, platform owners, security, audit, and risk stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and developer-friendly DevOps capabilities that support enterprise software delivery at scale. This is a hands-on engineering role with strong influence across CI/CD strategy, platform reliability, automation, governance, and AI-assisted engineering practices.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design, build, and enhance enterprise DevOps platforms and CI/CD tooling
- Improve developer experience through scalable, secure, and reusable platform capabilities
- Provide L3 support and operational oversight for CI/CD tooling, build agents, and self-hosted runners
- Drive automation, reliability, and continuous delivery best practices across engineering teams
- Implement secure-by-default, auditable, and compliant DevOps solutions
- Collaborate closely with developers, platform teams, security, audit, and risk functions to co-design practical solutions
- Support governance requirements including RBAC, policy enforcement, audit logging, and pipeline controls
- Contribute to AI-assisted engineering initiatives including AI-enabled CI/CD, testing, and developer productivity tooling
- Help shape modern platform engineering and DevSecOps practices within the organisation
What You Will Bring:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE environments
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms, Kubernetes, infrastructure automation, and cloud technologies
- Expertise with tools including GitHub Enterprise / GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory / XRay, and SAST/security tooling such as Checkmarx
- Experience managing self-hosted runners/build agents in enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, governance, compliance, and audit requirements
- Experience working within regulated enterprise environments (financial services, insurance, enterprise technology, etc.)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, security, audit, and governance teams
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or equivalent
- Exposure to deployment orchestration platforms such as Octopus Deploy
- Experience with platform engineering and internal developer platforms
- Knowledge of policy-as-code and software supply chain security practices
