We’re building the future of healthcare by giving every clinician the earth's finest AI Care Partner. In just 18 months, our clinical AI products have absorbed the administrative chaos of 73 million patient visits. Today, we support over 2.5 million patient sessions a week across 190+ countries. Our mission is simple: double the world’s healthcare capacity and strengthen the human connection at its heart.

The role involves building our own automation engine that works with EHRs lacking a native integration. This is a code-first role, not a low-code studio one. You'll build and harden our in-house automation engine, including the UI-automation layer, mapping templates, and patient-matching logic. You'll work hands-on with live NHS and private deployments where automation is the route to going live.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain the company's deterministic automation engine for interacting with EHRs.
  • Build UI-automation flows across web and desktop systems that reliably push data into third-party software.
  • Implement patient-matching and validation logic to ensure data accuracy.
  • Prototype with AI-assisted tools to ship in days, then harden what works into production-grade code.
  • Embed with health systems during live rollouts to map real workflows and close gaps.
  • Engineer work queues, retries, and exception handling for unattended automations.
  • Harden flows against UI drift and edge cases, deciding when automation is appropriate.
  • Treat every automation as a product, measuring reliability and owning the tooling and documentation.

What you'll need:

  • Strong sense of ownership and problem-solving skills.
  • Proof of building tools or automations that solved real problems.
  • Production experience with UI automation tools.
  • Python as your primary language; C# or TypeScript is a bonus.
  • Understanding of deterministic systems and exception handling.
  • Comfort with brittle, undocumented, or legacy third-party interfaces.
  • Working fluency with LLM APIs and AI-assisted development.
  • Data and application security knowledge, especially regarding patient data.
  • Experience automating against regulated systems is a strong signal.

How we show up:

  • Build for the next decade, not next quarter.
  • Lead, don't wait; treat tomorrow's problems today.
  • Follow the evidence and trust the patient.
  • Own the outcome; raise problems with solutions.
  • Ship, measure, and iterate quickly.
  • Live in clinicians' reality and build for exhausted humans.

Why the company?

You’ll join a team focused on real-world impact over imaginary valuations. We value sustainable performance and mental health, trusting you to perform and set your schedule. Building what we’re building isn’t always easy, but we hold ourselves to a higher standard because healthcare demands it.

Our Benefits:

  • Equity from day one.
  • Comprehensive private medical and dental cover.
  • Global parental leave.
  • Fertility support.
  • Learning & development budget.
  • Home office budget.
  • Recharge days after major milestones.
  • Work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
  • Clinical leave for eligible roles.
  • Hybrid work environment.

Heidi is dedicated to creating an equitable, inclusive, and supportive work environment. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
