Role
At the company, we are looking for an SDET Engineer who is passionate about quality and brings hands‑on experience across API and UI automation. You will work alongside engineering and data teams to build robust test frameworks, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and improve automation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain API and UI automation frameworks using Python or Java/TypeScript.
- Test and validate RESTful APIs and backend microservices for correctness, reliability, and performance.
- Build and maintain automated regression suites, including consumer‑driven contract tests (e.g., Pact).
- Automate validation for AI‑driven services, data pipelines, and ETL transformations.
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Work with data and engineering teams to validate data‑intensive systems and integration layers.
- Contribute to framework improvements and support peers in adopting automation best practices.
Required Experience
- Experienced SDET (circa 5+ years) with a strong automation background.
- Proficiency in Python or Java/TypeScript for test automation.
- Experience with API testing tools such as PyTest, Requests, RestAssured, or Robot Framework.
- Familiarity with UI automation using Selenium/WebDriver or equivalent.
- Exposure to consumer‑driven contract testing (Pact or similar).
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and containerised environments (Docker).
- Understanding of test design, debugging, and failure analysis.
- Some exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Desirable Experience
- Experience testing AI services, LLMs, or Agentic AI workflows.
- Hands‑on with performance or load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, or Infrastructure as Code.
- Exposure to data validation, ETL pipelines, or batch processing systems.
