About the job you're considering: the company is seeking a talented SAP ABAP Developer to join our Application Development & Maintenance (ADM) team, supporting a highly secure and business-critical SAP S/4HANA environment. This is an opportunity to work on a complex enterprise platform where your technical expertise will directly contribute to the stability, enhancement, and evolution of mission-critical SAP services.
As part of the company's ADM practice, you'll work alongside experienced SAP functional and technical specialists responsible for supporting, maintaining, and continually improving business applications. Our ADM teams provide more than traditional support, partnering closely with clients to deliver innovation, technical excellence, and ongoing optimisation across their SAP landscapes.
Your Role:
- Developing and enhancing SAP S/4HANA solutions, including custom reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements
- Investigating, debugging, and resolving technical defects across the SAP landscape
- Working closely with functional consultants to design and implement effective technical solutions
- Developing and supporting CDS Views, enhancements, user exits, BAdIs, and other S/4HANA development objects
- Supporting integration activities and interface development where required
- Ensuring development activities adhere to established coding, quality, and transport management standards
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and technical optimisation opportunities
Your skills and experience:
- Strong hands-on SAP ABAP development experience within S/4HANA environments
- Experience with CDS Views, enhancements, user exits, and modern SAP development practices
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving capabilities
- Understanding of SAP transport management and development lifecycle processes
- Experience working with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- A proactive and collaborative approach to working in a support and enhancement environment
