You’ll have the freedom to trust your own instincts, make connections across Africa, and pursue commercial deals where your gut tells you opportunity exists. You’ll be trusted to know what’s best, to represent the business at senior levels, and to lead on some of our most critical relationships in the region.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the relationship with existing partners in Africa and constantly identify new partners and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate great deals and oversee the process from first meeting to go-live.
  • Work with regulators and policy makers across the region, representing the Taptap Send brand externally.
  • Track, analyse, and report key metrics to understand market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Growth team to develop and share best practices.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Ops, Business Development, and Engineering teams to ensure Taptap Send has the best product offering in the market.

What you’ll need:

  • ~10+ years of experience in high-performing, fast-paced environments (tech, professional services, finance etc).
  • A demonstrable instinct for commercial deal-making.
  • Exposure to working with regulators and policy makers in Africa.
  • Significant ties to Africa.
  • “No task too small” mentality and willingness to delve into gritty details to get things done.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • Fluency in a language other than English (e.g. French).
  • Experience in Financial Services, Fintech, Payments.
