This is your opportunity to be at the heart of the digital transformation of a major UK university. We’re looking for a Web Developer to support the technical development of our external website, working as part of a team to deliver our audiences a sector-leading digital experience.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Support the evolution of the University’s website, contributing to local architecture, performance and continuous improvement of our primary and supporting marketing platforms.
- This role blends technical expertise with creative problem-solving to turn complex stakeholder needs into seamless, secure, high-performing user experiences, while championing best practice and driving innovation across a 24/7 digital environment.
Skills and experience required:
- Experience designing, optimising and evolving enterprise-level digital experience platforms (DXPs) or large-scale CMS environments, ideally in a complex organisational setting.
- Demonstrable hands-on expertise with modern front-end technologies (HTML/XHTML, JSON, CSS and JavaScript frameworks) and integrating these into scalable, maintainable architectures.
- Solid understanding of performance optimisation, security best practice and governance within high-traffic, always-on digital platforms.
Qualifications required:
- A minimum of a degree, or equivalent qualification, or proven professional experience in a relevant field.
