The Role
This role is currently expected to be for a 3 month FTC, with potential to extend further.
As the company continues to grow, we’re looking for an Internal Systems Software engineer to work on our internally developed business systems.
In this role, you’ll work on our internal business systems written in C#/.
NET that allows our internal teams to process orders, onboard customers, and manage financial data.
You’ll contribute to the ongoing improvements plan that we have in place.
You’ll work closely with business operations to deliver well‑developed, well‑tested software, taking ownership of your work while collaborating effectively within a cross‑functional business operations team team.
We’re rapidly adopting modern development tooling, including AI‑assisted tools such as Git Hub Copilot, and are looking for engineers for whom these tools are already embedded in their day‑to‑day workflow, and who are keen to build on that as we continue to evolve how we work.
Day to day, you\'ll be
As an Internal Systems Software Engineer you will
- Develop and test high‑quality software using C# and . NET
- Deliver features and fixes across the full software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with Internal Business Operations and End Users to clarify requirements to create robust acceptance criteria
- Write automated tests for new and changed code to ensure good coverage and long‑term maintainability – both unit tests and full-stack automation
- Contribute to technical discussions, design decisions, and continuous improvement of engineering practices
- Use modern development tooling, including AI‑assisted development tools, to support productivity and code quality
- Take ownership of your work through to production, including supporting releases and resolving issues when needed
- What We\'re Looking For
- Ability to start ASAP with a 2 weeks\' notice
- Commercial experience developing software using C# and . NET Framework & . NET8+
- Experience building and maintaining web‑based applications, across backend and frontend
- A solid understanding of software quality, including clean code, testability, and maintainability
- Unit testing of all new and changed code as a standard part of development
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Confidence working independently on defined tasks, while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Experience using modern development tooling such as source control, CI/CD pipelines, and work tracking tools
- Familiarity with using AI‑assisted developer tools (for example Git Hub Copilot) as part of day‑to‑day development work
- RESTful API creation, maintenance, and documentation.
- Nice to Have
• Experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial
- Experience working with SQL databases, including schema design and optimisation
- Experience building or supporting Saa S or multi‑tenant systems
- Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms, including containerised workloads (e. g. Kubernetes)
- Experience designing and consuming APIs
- Healthcare, care management, or compliance‑driven domains
- High‑availability or business‑critical systems
