Our Innovation, Data & Analytics function is focused on driving innovation by optimising how we leverage digital, data and AI to drive strategy and differentiate ourselves from the competition. As we develop an enterprise-wide data and digital strategy that moves us toward greater focus on the use of data and strengthens our digital, AI & innovation capabilities, we are seeking a Full-Stack Developer.

In this role, you will work as part of a team to develop, maintain, and enhance one or more digital products and platforms that seek to yield a significant business benefit, helping us build advantage and market differentiation through execution on innovation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with Lead UI Developer, UX Designer, Product Owner, Project team and internal stakeholders to develop data & AI applications.
  • Execute development activities as Full-Stack Developer for IDA applications, portals & integrations.
  • Collaborate with design, project, and other team members, discussing problem-solving approaches, participating in code reviews and pair programming.
  • Contribute to daily stand-ups and other agile ceremonies to ensure visibility of team progress.
  • Use and extend our existing back-end web application and infrastructure codebases, adhering to their code standards and structure while considering the advantages and consequences of refactoring and upgrading.
  • Ensure that the answer is designed to perform across multiple platforms.
  • Work with Lead Developer and support technical design, target state software architectures, data mapping & integration mechanisms.
  • Analyse & understand the requirements, take ownership to deliver the assigned development task and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Optimise coding with good documentation.
  • Work as part of an Agile squad & vendors, ensuring delivery within tight timelines and meeting the expectations of the team.
  • Engage in the entire lifecycle of the development project.
  • Support Lead Developer in engagement with GT governance forums, ensuring alignment with the company architecture standards as the project moves through the relevant stage gates.
  • The ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet delivery timelines with a high degree of client satisfaction is critical.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in Java, JavaScript / CSS / React.js
  • Experience working on Spring Boot microservice architecture.
  • Great knowledge & understanding about new tools and technologies and ability to learn fast.
  • Expertise in Web development, accessibility and usability.
  • Proven knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Good understanding and implementation knowledge of DevOps principles.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming: MVC, MVVM.
  • Hands-on experience of developing REST web services and APIs.
  • Good understanding of Salesforce’s proprietary programming language to develop robust backend logic.
  • Create everything from mockups and UI components to algorithms and data structures as you deliver a finished minimal viable product.
  • Ability to contribute to improve the code quality, organisation, and automation.
  • Experience in working as part of a squad in an Agile environment.
  • Extensive familiarity with version management tools like GitHub.
  • Experience with design patterns, Design System and contributing to its development with solid principles.
  • Excellent project management, time management, verbal and written communication skills, as the job entails simultaneously managing multiple projects with internal stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL.
  • Proactive attitude, ability to run projects with minimal direction given the global nature of the team.
  • B.E./B.Com./B.Sc./Computer Science/B.A. degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
