Job Title: Camunda Lead Full Stack Developer

Location: London, UK

Hybrid Working: Work location will vary by role and needs; a blend of company offices, client sites, and home; not full time remote.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide expert architectural guidance on Camunda 8 process orchestration patterns (service tasks, user tasks, job workers) to meet business requirements.
  • Deliver a Camunda Java React‑based lending origination workflow solution.
  • Oversee technical design and architecture ensuring alignment with Wholesale Lending design standards.
  • Lead and coordinate cross‑functional teams of developers and testers to deliver sprint objectives.
  • Track and report delivery metrics such as velocity and throughput in governance forums.
  • Lead adoption of relevant technologies and development practices including AI tooling.
  • Conduct code reviews.
  • Participate in SCRUM ceremonies and update JIRA in a timely fashion.
  • Understand business requirements to write and implement clean, scalable, testable code.
  • Ensure features/user stories are delivered with requirements under 100% automated test coverage.
  • Provide 3rd line support of the production environment; 1st line UAT support.
  • Meet CIB Metric standards including TADS and maintain them.

Qualifications

  • Camunda experience – 15 years designing and implementing solutions.
  • Backend: Strong experience with Java, SpringBoot, JPA, Hibernate, JUnit, RestAssured, and Mockito.
  • Frontend: Experience with React JS, Redux, Axios, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML.
  • Database: SQL; MS SQL preferred.
  • Cloud: Experience with aPaaS Openshift V4.
  • DevOps: GitLab, Stash, Jenkins, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, SonarQube, and Veracode.
  • Build tools: Maven, Gradle, and NPM.
  • Strong skills in test‑driven development, CI/CD, and microservices.

Desirable Skills

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent understanding of Computer Science concepts.
  • Experience with Design and Data Structures.
  • Experience working in an IT project environment, preferably in banking or financial sector.
  • Experience working in an AGILE environment.
  • Experience with message queue technologies such as Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, etc.
