As a Cloud Solutions Architect for the company Autonomous Workload Optimization, you'll join our dynamic Cloud Solutions organization, collaborating closely with Enterprise & Strategic sales, Solutions Success, Enablement, and Support teams. Your primary responsibility will be to identify business value and drive architectural solutions that enable customer success through the company’s Autonomous Workload Optimization solutions.

You will consult with both new and existing customers, helping to understand their business requirements and leveraging the company’s Spot solutions to deliver value that aligns with their strategic goals across the entirety of the customer’s journey. Additionally, you'll contribute to our global Solution Architecture & Advisory and Technical Account Management teams, bridging internal stakeholder groups and functional areas to continually enhance our solutions in response to evolving customer needs, market trends, and technological advancements.

The Product the company One offers a comprehensive approach to FinOps, including the full framework, continuous optimization, lifecycle and scopes. This includes identifying savings opportunities, implementing optimizations, and automating processes across the hybrid estate.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for the company Autonomous Workload Optimization (Spot Ocean and Elastigroup) product.
  • Partner with sales representatives, solution engineers, success managers, solution value advisors, and other team members to enable success throughout the customer journey.
  • Assist solutions engineers when needed as the subject matter expert in discovery calls to uncover customer needs and objectives; and advise on advanced aspects for customers to consider and hence differentiate the company’s products.
  • Assist in technical validation initiatives to support the solutions engineers when needed, as the subject matter expert.
  • Engage with the product development process on an ongoing basis to provide valuable field insights to product management and engineering teams.
  • Develop best practices for technical validation processes with the enablement team to ensure Solutions Engineers are best positioned to succeed.
  • Assist customers in maximising adoption of the product by identifying opportunities for this through a consultative approach.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time to engage directly with customers and support sales, customer success, and renewal efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Technical Acumen: Ability to translate and convey complex technical concepts clearly to a wide variety of audiences, including those without technical backgrounds.
  • Technical influence and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to customers.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as the primary technical authority and point of escalation for your portfolio of enterprise customers.
  • Voice of the Customer: Customer-centric mindset with a strong dedication to achieving customer success. Gather and synthesize customer feedback into actionable product insights, advocating for features internally.
  • Reviews: Lead regular business reviews, presenting data-backed cost savings, automation outcomes, and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKS)
  • Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP Architect)
  • Experience with large-scale Kubernetes platforms, FinOps frameworks and cost governance models.
  • Exposure to other solutions like Karpenter, EKS Automode, AKS Automatic, and GCP NAP.
  • Expert in AWS DevOps compute products: EC2, ECS, EKS, and Karpenter.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, Javascript, log analysis, live debugging as day-to-day tools.
  • Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs, API tools (e.g., Postman), or scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python).
  • Familiarity with cloud vendor native tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer) and third-party solutions.

Nice to Have

  • DevOps & Platform Engineering Knowledge and exposure.
  • CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD).
  • Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
  • Knowledge of service mesh (Istio) and advanced Kubernetes constructs.
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Experience designing cloud-native and microservices architectures.
  • Certification as a Cloud Solution Architect or equivalent; AWS/Azure/Google certification is a plus.
