Description Capital Development Actuary. Develop the market-leading ICM (Igloo Capital Model), used by insurers and reinsurers around the world.

The Role

  • Develop the market-leading ICM (Igloo Capital Model), used by insurers and reinsurers around the world.
  • Work with clients and other partners to design, develop and implement new technologies and statistical techniques.
  • Contribute to Igloo product development, working with the development team to shape the future of Igloo.
  • Be at the forefront of stochastic modelling with a broad and growing variety of applications.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

  • Newly or nearly qualified actuary or equivalent.
  • Experience of capital modelling or reinsurance pricing.
  • Demonstrable interest in coding. Expertise in a coding language, preferably Igloo, Python or SQL.
  • Excellent client relationship skills: ability to develop strong relationships quickly and maximize resources effectively to achieve goals.
  • Proven success working in a fast‑paced, high pressure environment and self-sufficient.
  • Strong organizational abilities and flexibility to work in a performance‑driven environment managing multiple deliverables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong experience with applicant tracking systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a numerical based degree.
