Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Full-time (37.5 hours per week) part-time considered depending on skills and experience. We are happy to explore a 3 or 4 day working week or hours to suit school timings.

Key Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a Team Manager to join our URTEC Education Service and take the lead on ensuring that our education provision meets the high standards required for individuals with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This is a fantastic opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the delivery of education for 16-25-year-olds with SEND, supporting both teaching staff and learners to achieve excellent outcomes. This is a small but expanding department. As Team Manager, you will be part of a collaborative team, reporting to and working closely with the Service Manager to support the development and delivery of the service.
The Team Manager will be responsible for overseeing Education Provisionals and leading the SEND team, with a strong focus on people management. This role involves supporting, developing, and motivating staff to ensure high performance, fostering a collaborative team culture, and driving the effective implementation of teaching programs to deliver outstanding educational outcomes.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
- Level 2 ICT qualification (or equivalent competence).
- Excellent understanding of teaching, learning, and assessment practices for SEND learners.
- Proven ability to manage teams effectively and to foster positive working relationships across various stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
Desirable:
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., 7307/PTLLS/AET/Cert Ed)
- Strong knowledge of post-16 SEND learning and quality assurance processes
