United Response is looking for a skilled and motivated Business Manager to join ROC College, leading the college's financial, administrative, and business services.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Leading business, finance, administrative, HR, premises, and IT teams to support the college's educational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the college's financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes.
- Oversee SEN funding applications, monitoring, and compliance.
- Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across finance, HR, premises, and IT.
- Manage SCR and ILR returns, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Lead administrative and support teams to deliver high-quality services.
- Support the Head Teacher and governors with strategic planning, risk management, and policy development.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including local authorities, funding bodies, and contractors.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment for all students.

Qualifications
- Relevant business, finance, or management qualifications (e.g. CSBM, DSBM, AAT, or equivalent).
- Proven experience managing budgets, financial processes, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of SEN funding, statutory guidance, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience preparing SCR and ILR returns and supporting SEN education outcomes.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with staff, students, families, and external partners.
- Knowledge of safeguarding requirements and a commitment to providing a safe learning environment.
