As a Functional Skills Tutor at ROC College, you will:
- Deliver Maths and English teaching on a 1 to 1 and group basis
- Support students to achieve Functional Skills and GCSE qualifications
- Assess learner needs and develop personalised learning plans
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress and achievement
- Embed Maths and English across wider curriculum areas
- Support colleagues with planning and delivery
- Contribute to achievement targets and quality improvement activities
- Act as an ambassador for ROC College within the community

Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Maths and English teaching to students with additional needs
Qualifications:
- At least one year's experience teaching Functional Skills (Entry Level to Level 2)
- A Level 4 Teaching Qualification (e.g. CTTLS or equivalent)
- Experience in post-16 education and understanding of Ofsted requirements
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience working with learners with disabilities or additional needs
- Ability to deliver engaging 1 to 1 and group sessions
- Confidence managing a caseload of students and tailoring learning to individual needs
- A flexible and creative approach to teaching
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Experience supporting learners with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or physical disabilities is highly desirable
