To deliver, monitor and develop high quality core and supplementary training to Support Workers across the area in line with United Responses’ agreed training plan. Required to:
- Deliver outcomes: Delivery of core training to front line staff, which will include Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), RRN accredited breakaways and restrictive physical interventions, moving and handling, first aid, safeguarding and other core training requirements where appropriate.
- Liaise with local Training Coordinator in organising and planning training in line with national and local policy and procedures.
- Promote the importance of quality training and encourage engagement of staff in this process.
- Liaise with the Locality Managers and the Training Manager in relation to any future development needs for frontline staff following attendance at training.
- Appraise attendees on courses and feedback to managers ensuring personal development of staff.
- Raise any concerns regarding frontline training and attendees to the necessary managers, Locality manager and the Training Manager.
Ideas and solutions:
- Innovate, promote and deliver, in consultation with staff teams and managers, adapting training styles to ensure that all staff are able to learn new skills from their training and promote best practice at all times.
- Identify and respond to training needs within services by direct observations and offer holistic solutions that meet the needs of the team and the people we support.
Building relationships:
- Work in partnership with the Training Manager, Locality Managers, and Training coordinators to ensure that staff teams are comprehensively trained within their area.
- Devise Area Training Plans in partnership with Training Manager and Training Coordinator based on area training needs.
- Attend Area management team meetings periodically.
People:
- Work closely with all employees of United Response to ensure that training is delivered effectively, received positively and implemented within the workplace.
- Promotion of training activities across the geographic area, and if required outside of the area where in-house expertise may be required, thus offering a cost-effective solution.
- Deliver courses outside the scope of essential and service specific training.
Essential:
- The candidate will need to demonstrate a solid knowledge, gained through hands-on experience, of working with adults with a variety of support needs, for example, learning disabilities, mental health needs and physical disabilities.
- The applicant must have experience of supporting people who may display behaviour that challenges.
- PowerPoint skills.
- Car driver and access to own vehicle.
Desirable:
- Experience of training delivery in a health and social care setting.
- Experience of using Zoom and MS Teams and Learning management systems/databases.
The candidate will need to have the following qualifications:
- Level 3 in Education & Teaching, PTLLS/Professional Trainers Certificate.
- RRN accredited instructor (Breakaways & RPI).
- BILD Coaches Qualification.
- Moving and Handling Instructors.
- First Aid at Work.
- Train the trainers Safeguarding.
It is noted that the applying candidate may not have the above qualifications, therefore full training will be provided. Candidates MUST be willing to undertake the required qualifications which may incur some travel and overnight stops (accommodation, travel and course fees will be covered by the organisation).
