United Response is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Employment Team Leader to join our Employment Team supporting people across the Liverpool region.
LOCATION: Sefton & Knowsley
ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Leading and supporting a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred employment services
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year - Fixed Term for 3 years.
SALARY: £32,506.50 per annum plus Essential Car User Allowance

What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced and inspiring leader who is passionate about supported employment and committed to developing both people and services. You’ll be confident leading a team, building strong relationships with employers and partners, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality employment programmes that enable people to achieve their goals.
The ideal applicant will have:
- A Level 4 qualification (or above) in Education, Employment, Business Management, CEIAG or a related subject
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent
- Experience of working with people with learning disabilities, SEND, mental health needs and physical disabilities
- Knowledge of supported employment, supported internships and employment pathways
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Strong IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
- The ability to motivate, support and develop others
- A flexible approach to working across community settings, education providers and employer locations
- A commitment to promoting equality, inclusion and safeguarding
Desirable experience includes:
- Experience supervising or managing a team within employment or education services
- Knowledge of the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF)
- Job Coach qualifications or BASE accreditation
- Understanding of employment legislation and government-funded employment programmes
- Knowledge of Supported Internships, Apprenticeships, Access to Work and other supported employment pathways
What to Expect
As an Employment Team Leader, you will:
- Lead, motivate and support a team to deliver high-quality employment services across a range of programmes
- Provide regular supervision, coaching and development opportunities for team members
- Promote best practice within the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) and Connect to Work programme
- Ensure high-quality employer engagement that creates meaningful employment opportunities
- Support individuals directly through job coaching where required
- Ensure programmes achieve agreed targets, quality standards and contractual outcomes
- Build strong relationships with employers, education providers and external partners
- Promote Supported Internships, supported employment and inclusive employment practices
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety and organisational policies
- Maintain accurate records and reporting using internal systems
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across United Response to embed and develop employment opportunities for the people we support
- Travel throughout Liverpool, Sefton and Knowsley to support staff, employers and people accessing our services
