Key Purpose of the Role

We are seeking an Education Team Manager to join our URTEC Education Service and take the lead on ensuring that our education provision meets the high standards required for individuals with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This is a fantastic opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the delivery of education for 16-25-year-olds with SEND, supporting both teaching staff and learners to achieve excellent outcomes. The Education Team Manager will play a crucial role in managing quality assurance processes, supporting the implementation of teaching programs, and leading a dedicated team in delivering outstanding education services.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., 7307/PTLLS/AET/Cert Ed).
  • Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Level 2 ICT qualification (or equivalent competence).
  • Strong knowledge of post-16 SEND learning and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent understanding of teaching, learning, and assessment practices for SEND learners.
  • Proven ability to manage teams effectively and to foster positive working relationships across various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
