United Response is seeking an area trainer to cover the Bradford area. To deliver, monitor and develop high quality core and supplementary training to Support Workers across the area in line with United Response's agreed training plan.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver core training to frontline staff including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), RRN-accredited breakaway and physical interventions, moving and handling, safeguarding and first aid.
- Plan and coordinate training with local managers and the Training Team to meet service needs.
- Support staff development by assessing training participants and providing feedback to managers.
- Promote high-quality training and encourage staff engagement in learning and development.
- Identify training needs within services and adapt delivery styles to support different learning approaches.
- Work collaboratively with managers and coordinators to develop area training plans and improve practice.
- Build positive relationships with teams to ensure learning is embedded in day-to-day support.
Qualifications:
- Solid knowledge, gained through hands-on experience, of working with adults with a variety of support needs (e.g., learning disabilities, mental health needs and physical disabilities).
- Experience of supporting people who may display behaviour that challenges.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Car driver and access to own vehicle.
