Job description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated National Technical Trainer to join our operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality technical training, supporting field operations, and contributing to continuous improvement across our national network.

This role combines technical training, field support, and operational improvement responsibilities. You will ensure that operational teams across the country are fully trained, technically competent, and supported in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality service.

Your focus:

1. Technical Trainer Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom and hands-on technical training for branch operations teams
  • Conduct training on new products, initiatives, and operational updates (local language delivery required)
  • Provide induction training for new operational staff
  • Deliver on-the-job coaching and mentoring for new employees
  • Conduct periodic assessments and audits of trainees’ knowledge and field practices
  • Support managers with mandatory annual technical instruction
  • Assist in creating, reviewing, and improving SOPs, manuals, guidelines, and training materials
  • Translate operational documents into local language where required
  • Document and share best practices across the organization

2. Technical Support Responsibilities

  • Provide field service support for complex projects during planning and execution phases
  • Assist in developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Support setup and commissioning of new workshops and facilities
  • Contribute to supplier selection and evaluation processes
  • Gather field feedback on equipment and procedures and communicate insights to product and support teams

3. Additional Responsibilities

  • Support management in executing operational projects and strategic initiatives
  • Assist in managing facilities, including upgrades and new site setups
  • Participate in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) systems (SCC, MASE, ISO standards)
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Your Profile:

Experience & Educational Requirements:

  • Successfully completed a secondary vocational degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience in a technical environment
  • Strong bias in either electrical or mechanical engineering, with exposure to the other discipline
  • Minimum of Experience in technical training or staff development

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all organizational levels
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, video conferencing tools)
  • Willingness to undertake occasional overnight and international travel
  • Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental responsibilities
