United Plant Services is an engineering and asset management business, renowned for providing market leading engineering support and fleet management for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) within the quarry and waste industry. We are part of The Briggs Equipment Group who are a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor quality and service delivery of onsite repairs to customers' assets, ensuring engineers are working in compliance with mandatory requirements.
- Ensure asset maintenance costs are kept within budget by offering economic repair options and assess viability of asset against replacement options.
- Support managers in investigating customer complaints and advising on suitable corrective action.
- Monitor machine health through oil sample and diagnostic reports.
- Support call centre team with technical and onsite feedback.
- Cover relevant Field Service Control during annual leave.
- Advise on machine application and offer suitable alternative options where applicable.
- Carry out machine inspections where required, manage damage & onsite rental process.
- Ensure daily check process is carried out and assist in training including toolbox talks.
- Work closely with the UP in-house Engineering team.
What will help you to excel in this role:
- Experience of dealing with customer concerns/complaints to the customers' satisfaction.
- Experience of plant machinery at a technical level including the relevant applications in the field.
- Strong interpersonal skills allowing the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships at all levels including complaint resolution.
- Extensive commercial awareness is key with a full understanding of P&L control and Balance Sheet Governance.
- Knowledge of plant machinery at a technical level including the relevant applications in the field.
- Computer literacy with good written and report writing abilities.
- Experience in managing multiple OEM brands encompassing core quarry and ancillary products.
