As our Quality Leader, you will take the lead in shaping and safeguarding the quality of our products, ensuring that every petfood item leaving our factory meets the highest standards. Responsibilities

  • Manage quality systems: ensure our quality management system meets the highest standards and keeps it running smoothly, making sure procedures are correctly followed on the floor and best practices become part of everyday work.
  • Implement quality policies: turn strategic business goals into practical, actionable plans; guide colleagues and help them solve day‑to‑day challenges with proactive improvements.
  • Drive process & product improvement: lead initiatives to continuously improve products and processes, enhancing quality, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance & certification: monitor and interpret petfood legislation, including export requirements, and turn these into practical solutions, ensuring the site meets all necessary certifications.
  • Lead audits: coordinate internal and external audits with certification bodies and regulatory authorities, ensuring full compliance with standards.
  • Oversee daily operations & solve problems: supervise daily quality issues, from raw material checks to product complaints, and implement immediate corrective actions.
  • Manage complaints & implement corrective actions: analyze product complaints, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures to continuously enhance quality.

Requirements

  • Experience in a quality role and familiarity with quality management systems.
  • Solid knowledge of (wet) petfood legislation, regulatory requirements and certification standards, and the ability to translate them into practical solutions.
  • Hands‑on and comfortable in a dynamic production environment; not afraid to get directly involved in operational tasks.
  • Proactive, able to switch quickly, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with operators, quality teams and production managers and adapt your approach to different audiences.
  • Ability to combine operational execution with strategic thinking on process improvements.
  • Flexibility and comfort in an open structure where responsibilities are not always rigidly defined.
