As our Quality Leader, you will take the lead in shaping and safeguarding the quality of our products, ensuring that every petfood item leaving our factory meets the highest standards. Responsibilities

  • Manage quality systems: You make sure our quality management system meets the highest standards and keep it running smoothly, so all processes are efficient and effective. You’ll ensure that procedures are correctly followed on the floor and that best practices become a part of everyday work.
  • Implement quality policies: You turn strategic business goals into practical, actionable plans. You’ll guide your colleagues, helping them solve day-to-day challenges with proactive improvements.
  • Drive process & product improvement: You lead initiatives to continuously improve both products and processes, enhancing quality, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance & certification: You monitor and interpret petfood legislation, including export requirements, and turn these into practical solutions, ensuring the site meets all necessary certifications.
  • Lead audits: You coordinate internal and external audits with certification bodies and regulatory authorities, ensuring full compliance with standards.
  • Oversee daily operations & solve problems: You supervise daily quality issues, from raw material checks to product complaints, and implement immediate corrective actions.
  • Manage complaints & implement corrective actions: You analyze product complaints, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures to continuously enhance quality.

Requirements

  • You have experience in a quality role and are familiar with quality management systems.
  • You have a solid knowledge of (wet) petfood legislation, regulatory requirements, and certification standards, and know how to turn these into practical, workable solutions.
  • You are hands-on and feel at home in a dynamic production environment. You are not afraid to get involved directly in operational tasks.
  • You are proactive, able to switch quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are a strong communicator, interacting effectively with operators, quality teams, and production managers, and can adapt your approach depending on your audience.
  • You can combine operational execution with strategic thinking on process improvements.
  • You are flexible and comfortable in an open structure where responsibilities are not always rigidly defined.
