Join us as a mechanic and help us deliver what matters by keeping our vehicles on the roads. The size and diversity of our fleet mean you'll have the opportunity to develop and expand your mechanical skills — help repair and maintain light vans, tractor and trailer units and our growing alternative fuel fleet. • Work on both light commercial vehicles and HGVs (LGVs).
  • Perform regular maintenance inspections, complete online service records, and manage stock control.
  • Support fleet reliability by ensuring all vehicles are maintained to a high standard.
  • Handle a variety of mechanical tasks, including more complex and non-standard repairs.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, while also being confident working independently.
  • Follow flexible weekday shift patterns (early and late shifts).

What you’ll need:

  • NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification in vehicle mechanics.
  • Proven experience working with commercial vehicles, including LGVs/HGVs.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge (fleet experience highly desirable).
  • Basic computer literacy (for records and systems).
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and manage priorities effectively.
  • A full UK driving licence (held for at least 2 years).
  • LGV Class 1 licence – advantageous but not essential.
  • Air conditioning (Air Tech) certification – desirable (training can be provided).
  • A flexible, friendly, and proactive attitude with strong teamwork skills.

What you’ll get:

  • ~£39,000 basic salary + shift premium (£4.61 per hour between 8pm–6am).
  • ~Overtime opportunities and additional shift allowances.
  • ~Company pension scheme & life assurance.
  • ~Full, industry-leading training, including Electric Vehicle and Air Conditioning (Air Tech) training.
  • ~HGV Licence Upgrade Programme and forklift training opportunities.
  • ~Tool allowance (£30 per month) and full PPE provided.
  • ~Clean, modern working environment.
  • ~Holiday pay.
  • ~Access to discounts at major retailers, cinemas, and attractions.
  • ~Strong internal progression opportunities with a promotion-from-within culture.
  • ~Employee referral scheme – £1,000 bonus per successful referral.
