Maintenance Engineer
Location: Tamworth
Job Summary
This position maintains maintenance activities at UPS package handling facilities. Provides inspection, troubleshooting, adjusting, and replaces electrical equipment, mechanical components, and pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding equipment. This position performs preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment. Also performs other tasks as requested.
Your candidacy must meet the ‘Right to Work in the UK’ requirement, as per the Immigration Act 2014 which requires employers to check documents to establish a person’s eligibility to work in the UK and comply with any restrictions. Also, please note that UPS is not sponsoring work visas. Therefore, before applying, kindly make sure you meet this requirement.

Responsibilities :
- Responds to internal customers.
- Responds to facility alarms and emergencies.
- Troubleshoots problems that arise within the sortation system and facility.
- Performs preventative maintenance.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in engineering preferred
- Electrical experience is mandatory
- Preferred programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, Motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams
- Clean UK Driving License
