- Effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse stock team to meet demand and overall workload.
- Induct, train, develop and nurture the team within the stock procurement function, continually focusing on the professional development of the team by way of appraisals and performance reviews and discussions.
- Manage procurement of stock in line with customer and Pharmacy patient requirements, ensuring all procurement is in line with agreements and contracts.
- Monitor and manage all stock levels, ensuring required stock is available for outbound shipments.
- Accurate and efficient entry of inbound stock into WMS.
- Ensuring accurate and efficient checking of inbound deliveries, ensuring that any discrepancies are immediately reported to the supplier.
- Ensuring all stock is correctly loaded, and stock rotation is maintained to minimize risk.
- Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date.
- Stock analysis when required.
- Manage day to day client communications.
- Support continuous improvement through staff training.
- Manage and coordinate stock take and cycle counting activities to ensure the required level of service is provided to the customers.
- Processing of returns, including quarantined, damaged and batch recalls.
- Ensure the highest level of hygiene is maintained throughout the warehouse in accordance with good distribution practice.
Good working knowledge of the organisation and business area. - Good working knowledge of IT packages: WMS systems, Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet/Intranet, Polar Track and Sage 200c.
- Good working knowledge of good distribution practice, and general Pharmaceutical Council.
- Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
- Good training skills with the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Build effective working relationships with customers, colleagues, and other departments.
