We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Head of Finance to join our finance team and support the financial operations of Delos and Caravana. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in finance while contributing to the success of two dynamic brands.

United Nomads is an omni‑channel, omni‑brand, wholesale, retail and e‑commerce start‑up. The business is operating out of their London HQ (North Greenwich) with operations and resort retail locations across Europe. Future plans include expanding the two brands, launching more resort retail locations and potentially acquiring other brands into the group. This is an exciting opportunity to join an early‑stage business which will accelerate your personal and professional development.

Delos.Land – A modern brand, elevating resort attire into wearable art. Offering menswear, womenswear and bespoke pieces, individually crafted by their dedicated experts.

Caravana.Land – A unique artisanal brand with a focus on craftsmanship, sustainability and the indigenous artisans who craft it in Mexico and Turkey. Caravana have created a sense of community through their uniquely curated stores with no location being the same, giving you a sensory experience of the local culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Producing monthly management accounts
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • EU VAT returns
  • Inventory management
  • Managing the Assistant Accountant
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation of vendor accounts, across multiple entities.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including journals, ledgers, and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Supporting senior management with expense claims
  • Assist with VAT returns, month‑end and year‑end close procedures, including preparation of accruals, pre‑payments, and adjusting journal entries.
  • Assist with payroll processing, including calculation of employee hours, preparation of payroll reports, and coordination with external payroll providers.
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding financial transactions and account balances.
  • Maintain documentation and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with ad‑hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Head of Finance or senior management.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Experience in an SME or start‑up environment is essential
  • Knowledge of retail, e‑commerce, or wholesale
  • Experience developing new processes and internal controls, systems
  • Good Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
  • Strong communication skills and able to deal with senior stakeholders
  • Prior experience using Xero would be advantageous but not essential
