United Media focuses on building large-scale industry media and conference products in sectors such as insurance, HR, private equity, retail, etc. As of today, we have organically launched 8 media companies and acquired one (Insurtech Insights, Presidents Summit, Private Equity Insights, HRtechX, CFO insights, Retail Insights and SetSales).

As our Recruiter consultant, you get the unique opportunity to be a key player in building the greatest brand within Insurtech. By providing you with ownership of our recruiting, we want to push you out of your comfort zone to help you become an expert. You’ll be working out of our HQ in London and, to ensure a growth curve, we provide you with:

  • An opportunity to gain operational experience in a start-up where both your work and the results are tangible and matter to the business
  • A chance to work closely with the CEO on our recruiting strategy
  • Unlimited growth potential in our company — we strongly believe in and have a track record of promoting internally
  • 12-month internship with the possibility of a full-time role either in recruitment or other departments of the company.

Your responsibilities will vary; however, some of them will be to:

  • Coordinate with the CEO on weekly strategy sessions and lunch meetings with candidates
  • Identify and engage potential candidates for outreach
  • Take responsibility for the first stage of the recruitment process (CV screening)
  • Take ownership of the Recruitment Software, Greenhouse
  • Renew and update job postings via the platform
  • Update the job description to attract more candidates
  • Ensure synchronization between FirstMind and Greenhouse

You will report to the senior recruitment and to the CEO.

We do expect you to:

  • Have acquired a bachelor’s or master’s degree with outstanding results
  • Have a UK work permit
  • Have a natural ability to make people feel comfortable around you
  • Take ownership of everything you do, be proactive and follow through on commitments
  • Desire to get to know other people and learn, develop, and push yourself
  • No experience is needed. If needed, we will teach you everything you need to know about recruiting.

Start date: Flexible. The role is onsite, Monday to Friday, based in our offices at Buckingham Gate. It is essential we work at a fast pace and collaborate in person to create market-leading, unmatched events throughout the calendar year. It will be great to have you as part of our team.
