We're looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to support the Managing Director of our Energy business. This is far more than a traditional diary management role – it's an opportunity to become a trusted partner to a senior business leader, helping drive strategic priorities across a fast-paced and growing division.

You'll work at the centre of the business, interacting with board-level stakeholders, senior leaders, clients and operational teams, ensuring the Managing Director can focus on leading the business while you provide outstanding executive, organisational and operational support.

If you're highly organised, commercially aware and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing a complex and constantly evolving executive diary, ensuring the Managing Director's time is aligned to business priorities.
  • Acting as a trusted gatekeeper, managing communications and prioritising competing demands.
  • Preparing high-quality meeting briefings, presentations and board papers.
  • Coordinating leadership meetings, operational reviews and governance forums across the Energy business.
  • Capturing actions, tracking progress and ensuring accountability following executive and board meetings.
  • Managing confidential correspondence and communications on behalf of the Managing Director.
  • Coordinating complex travel arrangements and producing detailed itineraries.
  • Organising leadership events, client meetings and business off-sites from planning through to delivery.
  • Managing executive expenses and ensuring timely reconciliation of corporate credit card statements.
  • Working closely with Executive Assistants across the wider business to ensure seamless coordination of senior leadership activity.
  • Continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.

About you

You'll already have experience supporting senior executives, ideally at Managing Director or Board level, and you'll be comfortable operating in a fast-moving commercial environment. You'll also bring:

  • Significant experience supporting senior leaders or executives.
  • Outstanding organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and sound judgement.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
  • Experience producing professional board papers, presentations and executive reports.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Absolute discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.

Experience within infrastructure, engineering or operational businesses would be advantageous but isn't essential.

Why join us?

This is an opportunity to work alongside a senior leader in a business that is delivering critical infrastructure across the UK. You'll gain exposure to strategic decision-making, board-level governance and high-profile projects while playing an integral role in the success of the Energy division.

We're looking for someone who enjoys making a real impact, takes pride in delivering exceptional support and thrives in an environment where initiative, professionalism and collaboration are valued.

If you're ready for a role where you'll genuinely influence the effectiveness of a Managing Director and the wider leadership team, we'd love to hear from you. Join us at United Infrastructure and be part of our mission to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to the complex infrastructure needs of the UK.
