We provide heat pump solar PV battery storage solar thermal biomass EV charging and energy efficiency retrofit training from nationwide locations including our own purpose-built centre and partner sites. GTEC delivers industry-recognised qualifications from Awarding Organisations LCL Awards City & Guilds and OFTEC covering renewables and supporting electrical plumbing and oil qualifications. All of our centres feature state-of-the-art training rigs and we also offer bespoke on-site training for larger organisations.
Tasks
- The Bid Manager will lead and coordinate the end-to-end bid process for new business opportunities ensuring that all proposals are compelling, compliant and delivered on time.
- This role involves collaborating closely with sales, technical, finance and legal teams to develop winning bids that meet client requirements and align with company strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle from funding opportunity identification to submission and post-bid review.
- Coordinate input from cross-functional teams (sales, technical, finance, legal, operations) to produce high-quality, compelling proposals.
- Ensure all bids comply with client requirements, internal policies and deadlines.
- Maintain a bid library and templates to streamline future submissions.
- Lead bid review meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Track bid performance and provide regular reports on bid success rates and pipeline status.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to gather insights for future bids.
- Drive continuous improvement in bid processes and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bid writer / Manager or similar role.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Familiarity with bid management software and CRM tools is an advantage.
- Industry knowledge related to Education / Training would be an advantage but not essential.
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness.
