Jones Lighting is a well-established, family-run business and leading provider of street lighting solutions for local authorities. We are looking for an experienced, skilled, and reliable HGV Grab Driver / Reinstatement Specialist to join our team at our Widnes depot.
Key Responsibilities
- Excavation and Backfill: Safely manage materials using the Grab wagon, assist with manual backfilling and material movement.
- High-Quality Reinstatement: Ensure precise reinstatement work and safe working around buried utility plant (cables, pipes, etc.).
- Safety Critical Work: Maintain safe operations near overhead electricity and telephone lines.
- Site Management: Responsible for all Signing, Lighting, and Guarding (SLG) of work areas.
- Compliance: Follow all Safe Systems of Work procedures.
Key Requirements
- Full HGV Licence with authorisation to operate Grab/Lorry Loader vehicle.
- Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience operating a grab wagon (clamshell attachment preferred).
- Streetworks Qualification Units 1-7 (or equivalent).
- Current EUSR CSCS SHEA Power card (or equivalent for utility work).
- Full, clean driving licence (minor points considered).
Desirable Qualifications
- First Aid Certificate.
- Manual Handling Certification.
- Abrasive Wheels Training.
