Social Infrastructure - Our team of Social Infrastructure specialists revitalise homes and communities by carrying out a wide range of work, from retrofit to refurbishment, and maintenance.

We are looking for Apprentice Water Operatives to join our Water business division who are a national provider of infrastructure and non-infrastructure water and wastewater services to UK water utility companies. Day to day, you will work with our mobile site teams who work on our water project sites. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Excavate holes using safe digging methods to avoid damage to underground utility apparatus
  • Move materials, plant and equipment
  • Install pipes and fittings to the appropriate standards ensuring, in particular, that good jointing and hygiene practices are followed.
  • Maintain site, vehicle, plant and equipment tidiness and security.
  • Carry out safety checks and inspections to vehicles, plant, equipment and sites and maintain safety, environmental and quality records.

We are working with Optimum Skills who are delivering a pre-employment programme on behalf of us to prepare applicants for this apprenticeship. Any candidates who successfully complete this programme will be guaranteed an interview for the apprenticeship programme.
