United Infrastructure is looking for a Commercial Assistant to join our team. As part of a dynamic, fast‑growing division, you'll be at the heart of nationally significant infrastructure projects that will shape the UK’s future.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the commercial team and contributing towards its success across the full lifecycle of each project — from measuring completed works to approving subcontractor supply chain applications.
  • Contract management in line with JTC, NEC 3/4 (Options A & C).
  • Subcontractor negotiations, payments, and performance tracking.
  • Delivery of accurate and timely completed works measures and billing processes.
  • Production of monthly cost value reconciliation and generation of earned value analysis reports, whilst maintaining robust commercial documentation.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience in NHF SoR Rates or similar bespoke Sor Rates.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry.
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at 9‑4 (grade C or above), including Math, English, and ideally a Science.
  • Any previous Level 4 related qualification or equivalent discipline is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Basic understanding of standard methods of measurement.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, and flexibility.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for own development and extend knowledge of software packages.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
