Role Purpose
To support the SHEQ Systems & Assurance Manager in maintaining, improving, and assuring the effectiveness of the United Infrastructure Power T&D Integrated Management System (IMS). The role ensures the system is fit for purpose, consistently applied across the business, and compliant with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and external assurance schemes including Achilles and SSIP accreditations.
Management System (IMS)
- Support development and continuous improvement of the IMS
- Ensure policies and procedures remain current and aligned to operations
- Standardise processes across business units and acquisitions
- Maintain document control via digital platforms
Audit & Assurance
- Support internal audit programmes (ISO 45001, 14001, 9001)
- Track audit findings through to close-out
- Support external certification audits
- Monitor audit trends and improvements
Accreditations & Compliance
- Maintain ISO certifications and external schemes (Achilles, SSIP)
- Coordinate audit evidence and submissions
- Track and communicate compliance obligations
Data, Reporting & Systems
- Maintain SHEQ systems (e.g. EcoOnline)
- Support reporting and dashboards
- Improve digital workflows and data quality
Continuous Improvement
- Embed learning from incidents and audits
- Review effectiveness of controls
- Support risk reduction initiatives
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work with operational teams to embed systems
- Provide guidance on system requirements
- Support SHEQ communications
Skills & Experience – Essential
- Experience in SHEQ or management systems role
- Understanding of ISO 45001, 14001, 9001
- Audit and assurance experience
- Strong organisation and reporting skills
Desirable
- Utilities / construction / Power T&D experience
- Internal auditor qualification
- Experience with Achilles / SSIP
- Familiarity with EcoOnline
