Job Description
To manage and maintain a safe working environment for all operatives, office employees, and third parties whilst adhering to all SHEQ management systems and adopting a customer-focused approach to the client and their representatives.
This is a field based role covering Birmingham / South East and surrounding areas, you MUST have a full UK driving license.
Specific Duties & SHEQ Responsibilities
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly SHEQ reporting for Clients and Directors (incidents, toolbox talks, audits, etc.).
- Adopt and promote the SHEQ “Zero Harm” strategy across all activities.
- Maintain and manage SHEQ policies, safety training, and document control systems.
- Develop, review, and audit SHEQ management system documents and ensure compliance.
- Prepare and deliver legislation updates, toolbox talks, safety alerts, and bulletins.
- Analyse SHEQ data, maintain accurate records, and report on KPIs and objectives.
- Manage SHEQ software updates and reporting (Eco-online).
- Conduct and schedule site audits, including with external auditors (e.g., SHEA, Oracy), and maintain audit matrix.
- Encourage and record hazard, incident, and near-miss reporting.
- Mentor, support, and develop SHEQ coordinators.
- Attend and occasionally chair SHEQ project meetings.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate; IT skills advantageous: Omnix, Evenflow, ADC Build, Remedy, Arqiva, WIG, SharePoint, Business Central, Sitetracker.
